GlossyBox US - May 2012

Guess what arrived in the mail today!!!!!!

After waiting for a few weeks, the May US glossy box finally arrived today! I couldn't had been happier!

For those that don't know, GlossyBox is a subscription service that cost $21 per month to get 5 deluxe size sample. They are send out at the end of the month and you can cancel at any time.

Anyways, the first thing that I did was film it and take some pictures before I start touching anything. Like most of the beauty/cosmetic subscription, it came with a card explaining what you're getting and how much they're worth at full size retail prices. Down below are what I got in my glossybox.....

 1) Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Refeshing Hydra-Gel (South Korea) - A hydrating gel moisturizer that leaves your skin feeling bright and refreshed. Notice your complexion visibly improve, giving you confidence and a natural glow. (Second row, left)

        * This one have a pleasant fragrance to it. I can't really explain in detail how it smells like but it have a perfume smell to it. It have a thin consistency but not watery at all...a thin creamy yogurt consistency that's light greenish blueish. I tried in on my hand and it feels really smooth with a hint of fragrance. This is preferably for gals to use as the fragrance is more feminine. The packaging's pretty cute and different. All you do is twist the top off. It also have a small mini mirror on top.

2) Burberry Beauty Lip Mist Natural Sheer Lipstick Copper No. 202 (UK) - A creamy lipstick that offers a hint of natural, sheer color leaving your lips moist and dewy. The perfect present for the perfect pout. (Third row, right)

     * The mini sample size lipstick's a perfect fit for small makeup bag for the purse. It's a natural sheer lipstick that's good on the go for all sorts for eyeshadow looks. If you want a pop of color, this is not recommended. Whether you wear makeups or not, this is perfect for anyone. I just tried it once and it feels moisturizing and a bit sticky? More review to come after a few more uses.

3) Marvis whitening toothpaste (Italy)- Make the most of your splendid smile with a whitening toothpaste dripping in cool mint freshness, all while protecting against decay, tartar, and plaque.(Bottom right)

*Have not tried it yet but it came in a silver tube. The tube is a bit bigger than the regular $1 travel size toothpaste that you usually pick up at the store. Obviously the toothpaste is white and have a minty smell to it.

4) Phyto Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Mask for dry hair (France)- Indulge in luxury and aroma with a conditioning treatment that moisturizes and detangles strands without weighing hair down. Nourish, revive and delight. (Second row, right)

*It's a foil tube that have a thin texture to it. It's not runny nor is it thick but have a different feel to it comparing it to drugstore conditioner.

5) Zoya summer 2012- Beach and Surf Collection (USA)- Dive into the creamy shades and shimmering sea foils of the Zoya Beach & Surf Collection. Allow your nails to go on a vacation every day. (Third row, left)

     * This is a dark teal color which the nail polish is called Wednesday. I just applied it on a few nails and the consistency reminds me of the rimmel london nail polish. It probably would had been better if the brush was a bit bigger like the rimmel london nail polish brush; that way it's easier to apply and is more smoother.

6) GlossyBox brush- extra bonus?

    * Reminds me of the Elf brush although it felt kind of cheap compare to the elf brushes.

Reviews will be coming up whenever I get the chance to use these. I'll update it on this page. I'll be posting up a youtube video of the product when I have the chance to since I'm going to be busy this weekend and the other other 2 following weekend.

Pixie's Cosmetic- HauteLook

I recently made a purchase at Hautelook.com. For those that don't know, Hautelook sells cosmetics, jewelry, shoes, clothes..etc for a discounted price and certain items are limited as they only have certain numbers of those in stock. So far I purchase from the site twice so this is from my experience. Others may have a more positive or negative experience compared to me.

Last week, I finally got my orders from Pixies. It took about 1 1/2 week- 2 weeks just for my orders to be shipped out which took 3 days to get here. I was really really excited since my first purchase on the Urban Decay came with no problems.

Right when I received it, I open the box up immediately! I was super duper excited!!! From the packaging, it was okay but not the very best. They have tissue paper around the box and just a piece of loose bubble wrap. The items were in a bag with a hautelook sticker on it.

I open up the Pixi Lumi Lux Radiance Powder and the Pixi Ultimate Beauty Kit but no damage. So I thought, oh cool, with no bubble wraps around it, there weren't any damage. I assume that it goes to the other eyeshadow too. The 2 Pixie Pretty Eye Perfection weren't damage as I can see it clearly through but curious with what the colors look like on one of the Pop Beauty Punk Eyeshadow. I open it up and it was damage. So I decided to check out the other one too; which was also damage.

<---- As you can see on this one it's damage on both side but the middle's okay

<------ For this one, the one on the right side was damage

I immediately login to my Hautelook account and waited patiently to chat with someone online. I didn't have enough patients to e-mail and wait for their reply. It took probably around 5-7 minutes just to be able to chat with someone online. I basically told them that the 2 pop beauty punk eyeshadow was damage and that I just received it today. I gave her the order # and she told me that she'll process a return and refund paper for me. Then told me that I'll just get a refund back and that I could do whatever to the eyeshadow as I want; I didn't need to return it. (Maybe it's because it's only $3 each and it would had been cheaper to let me keep it than refund + return?) I was happy that I got it for free but a bit disappointed that it was damage since I was planning to give one to my sister in law. Overall, I was happy with the customer service so far. I have not purchase any shoes or clothes so I don't know how that would be. The only thing is that it takes a while just for your orders to be shipped out.

So here's the items that I got. Some eyeshadow are very sheer but buildable while others are pretty  pigmented. I have not try the damage eyeshadow yet nor the one at the bottom right. As for the Radiance Powder, it's very sheer. If you dab it on the rose, it gives you a sheer rosy glow while I barely noticed any orange glow. It's my first purchase on Pixie so I don't really mind much about it. Overall, I spend $39 including shipping and minus the $6 for the refund.

I think I'm going to lay off from purchasing cosmetic for a while since I do have a lot and I think I'm getting a little (a LOT!) addictive over it. Hubby said that I look better natural.

Swatches time!!!!

Here are some swatches of what I got this month:

The first are the Revlon Lip Butter: Tutti Fruitti and Strawberry Shortcake
I got mine at Walgreen when it's buy one get one 50% off

The two other are the softlips gloss. They're not sticky and have spf 10. I love the coral gloss since it gives a nice color that's not too pigmented or too sheer. As for the Pearl gloss it gives a little shimmer glossy look and is almost clear on the lips. They're located at the checkout lane at Walmart costing around $3 something. Sadly there's only 2 colors; wished they had more.

This one is Physician Formula newest blush. It have very eye catching packaging so that's why I got it. In fact, it's my first blush that I bought from the brand. The #1 reason was just for the mirror. I just thought that it was cool that it have lights. Anyways, the color is very pigmented so I suggest putting a little at a time. It's actually one of my favorite blush so far. I got it at walmart for around $11.

Physician Formula bronzer that came along with two eye liner. The bronzer is very light so it doesn't show nicely on my hand but does wonder under my cheek bones. As for the liner, I had the brown one with me at the time so I couldn't take any pictures of the black liner. Got it for $10 or so...don't really remember.

Rimmel London bronzer. So far I love it as much as I love the PH bronzer above. It's much more pigmented than the PH bronzer above and less costly. It was 50% off at Walgreen so I got it for about $2.88...for those on a budget, this is definitely one that you should buy.

E.L.F. blush in pink passion. One of my favorite blush from their line. I got mine at Kmart for $3. This one is very pink and pigmented. The quality is very nice but there are some fallouts (their blush +eye shadow have fallouts). For those that are on a budget, you should definitely get this one too. It's worth it! Even if you don't have a budget, you should try it!

Rimmel London eyeshadow that was 50% off at walgreen. They are nice colors but I haven't play around with it much. They were about $2.88 each?

That's pretty much it for the cosmetic that I got this month so far. I order pixi's eyeshadow at Hautelook.com and it should come in soon sometime this month. Hopefully soon since I just receive the tracking number.

May 2012 Myglam bag

I just upload the May 2012 Myglam bag. This is a quickie so there won't be much information until tomorrow when I take more pictures and put in thoughts about it. I'm off to bed now...good night!

Unfortunately I left the bag in the car which my husband took it to work so I won't be able to upload the myglam pictures but will upload some products that I've been taking pictures of.

****Updated May 29th, 2012

I took some pictures last week but has been busy during the weekend that I wasn't able to upload it. Here's the picture that I cram everything together.

*Miss Beauty Nail Bling - Have not tried it but basically it's just nail sticker

* Philosophy Love Sweet Love Spray Fragrance - Love this fragrance!!!! Just the perfect smell that's not too strong for me!

*myglam Concealer Brush & Defining Eyeliner Brush - Love the quality of the brush. I use the defining eyeliner brush as a lip brush.

*Studio Gear Complete Color Lipstick (In hot cocoa)- I didn't really like the color in the first place but it's okayish. It's a wearable color when I mix it up with others.

I wasn't too disappointed in this month bag nor do I love it. It's just product to try out just to see whether I like it or not. I wasn't really into the nail stickers since my nails are small! Some hearts are a little too big for my nails that I didn't want to cut out bits from the hearts. I mean, they fit perfectly on my thumb nails, but for the rest, it's just too big so I'll just put it away for the mean time.

The rest of the product are the ones that I'll be using every now and then. The fragrance smells sooooo good. It's just perfect....not too strong. I have a weak nose or you can say a strong nose...yes I do; even when my kids poop, I know it right away cause I can smell it...even if it's from across the room! This is just perfect for anyone...mom's, grandma's, ladies..etc. A perfect gift!
As for the brushes, I could use some brush as I'm just starting out on my makeup/cosmetic exploration. I use the defining eyeliner brush as a lip brush and the other one just as the concealer brush which I have no used for it since I prefer using my fingers instead of the brush. The lipstick is pretty okayish. I didn't hate it nor love it. It's wearable when I mix it with some colors or just dab it on lightly on my lips. It's a reddish brown color that would probably match with dark or dark brown eyeshadow, or if you just want a pop of reddish brown color on your lips.

Cuties juice!

I have a thing for jamba mega mango smoothie but could only get it at the mall which I don't go there often. But, just last week while at the refrigerated juice section, I found these new fruit smoothie. I had a love for the cuties mandarin so I know that brand's pretty good. I mean...who doesn't like those small cute orange mandarin?

My son's obsess with the orange mandarin; in fact, any good tasting orange will be gone in no time by him. That's not what I really want to talk about. It's about the cuties juice! I've noticed that they're new since I haven't seen it before and it was very very eye catching; it just pop out in front of my eyes. There were 2 big jug, 48fl oz, one was the regular orange tangerine and the other was the fruit smoothie. I was debating whether I should get two or just one. Next to those were 3 smaller bottle which I couldn't take a picture of. 2 smaller one were the smaller version of the bigger jug, and the other one have strawberry in it. With those, I decided to get the bigger jug of fruit smoothie instead and the other 2 smaller bottle which were the orange tangerine and the one have strawberry in it (sorry if I got the names wrong...I don't have the bottles with me anymore).

Right off the bat when we got to the car, I tried the orange tangerine. Eeeek....it's orangy but was kind of bitter. It have that orange bitterness in there so if you're not a fan of that, I suggest not getting it. I was glad I didn't grab the big jug or else it'll just be a waste. As for the orange strawberry, it was okay. I didn't hate it or love it. It was drinkable.

When we got home from Walmart, I tried the cuties juice fruit smoothie and oh my gosh! It was just so darn good. It's like a dupe version of jamba mega mango juice!!!! It have that orangey juice with other fruits...I just don't know how to explain it; you gotta try it! All I know is that I found a great tasting fruit smoothie that taste almost like the jamba mega mango smoothie (sorry if I got the name wrong or mixup...it's the one that have that orange juice taste to it with a mix of other fruits). It's just sooooo good.

So after hearing me brag, here's a bad picture of it as it's all gone and about to be thrown away:

Walmart Haul

I'm super excited to share my Walmart hauls! It was just a quick stop to Walmart for the Seche Vite top coat nail polish, but I ended up getting more items than expected. This is what happens when the hubby decided to stay in the car and I get side tracked.

Before I left the car, I ask hubby if he wants any socks which he said yes. I went straight to the guys socks section then remember that I need to get socks for my girls too. It seem that the sock monster's been eating up their newly bought socks 2 weeks ago. Before getting there, I saw the $1 sign. $1? Heck yea, I'm checking em out!

I couldn't believed my eyes at first so I just had to look at the tags on the clothes. There were mainly boys clothes left but no worries, I grab whatever was there that my kids could wear near the end of the year. Most of those were pants for my son and one of my girls.

Finally, I went and got some socks for my girls but then saw $1 sign at the girls clothe section which I got a few shirts for 2 of my other girls. After that, I went to the clearance section and found that the price for shoes have all been dropped to $3. Who could pass down shoes that are $3? There weren't much shoes left but luckily I found 3 pair of shoes that were size 6 -6 1/2. I usually wear size 7 but somehow those fit me (I guess I was just lucky). I couldn't stop squealing! Oh, by the way, I got some shoes for the kids too. I can tell that all those people that pass by me was staring at the loaded cart; but hey, for a good deal, I could care less....maybe not for my hubby, he probably be embarrass.

The last two things that I picked up were some pens that are at the clearance section for $1 each (they always seem to disappear no matter how much I had) and finally, the nail polish that I was supposed to get.

So here are my great deals find:
Total for clothes if not on clearance would had been $200 and something cents

These are all of the clothes, some stacked

down below left: 3 white pant, 1 gray, 1 black             down below right: 4 light blue, 3 navy blue
(worth 5 each)                                                                                  (worth 6 something each)

below left: 4 shirts                           below right: 1 girl long sleeve, 1 boy long sleeve, 1 boy shirt

<---4 outfits, top and pants together...these are worth $16 each

below: shoes size 6 - 61/2

Kids shoes same price: $3

                                                           Pens $1 each

Pricey top coat but worth it!!!! It dries up pretty fast...Just to keep in mind, read the warning on the back. It's probably something that I wouldn't had seen if I weren't taking pictures for my blog.

After the walmart buys, I went to dollar tree next and got some stuff. Here are just some that I thought that were a pretty good deal there:

I love the bronzing blush, as for the blending brush, it's the first time I've seen it at the store. Target nor Walmart doesn't have it. I just wanna try out the pressed powder and their gloss since I heard that those are pretty awesome.

Walah....Nail polish!!!! I'm a cheap nail junkie so when I find good deals, I just can't pass them on. I just gotta have one of each! I know, I'm greedy...I just have an addiction for everything

Just some toothbrush for my kids

I have not totaled up how much the shoes would had been but the total that I spend at Walmart was $90.15. I'm just soooo excited thinking about how much I had saved. I know not every walmart put clothes on clearance for $1 and it varies at some places plus it's seasonal too. For those that are able to get their hands on $1 stuff, have fun!

Wet n Wild limited edition nail polish

Just 2 weeks ago when my husband took me to shopko, I found these two wet n wild limited edition nail polish for $1.99 each. There were 4 of 2 colors left so I grab two for myself since I'm a cheap nail polish junkie. I finally decided to put them on today as my little gal's taking a nap.

Top one: This one is called Jewels for your highness...It's a shimmering purplish pink with glitter..a very beautiful color that have a hint of gold

The one below: This one is call Bow to my presence. It's a beautiful shimmery eye catching sea blue that have glitter and a hint of purplish pink

The pictures doesn't do it justice but it's the best I can do now since my camera isn't the greatest. At first I thought I was going to love the jewels for your highness because of the beautiful color but it turns out my favorite is the bow to my presence. It looks very flattering on my nails which makes them pop and just have a positive calming vibe to it.

Ear infection

I have 5 kids already and when people say ear infection, I know what they meant. 2 weeks ago I was told that my 13 month have an outer ear infection. An outer ear infection? Yes, there are two type of ear infection (so far that I know of). It's my first time of knowing and even hearing about an outer ear infection. I thought I knew what's what but I guess not!

My 13 month have some white gooey stuff in her ear. If you use a q-tip, you could get those goo out which meant that it's an outer ear infection, in other words, swimmer's ear infection. As for the inner ear infection, the inside ear looks red and swollen.

The difference in medication? For the inner ear infection, you're usually given antibiotic...those pink stuff. As for the outer, it's drop for your ear. During the first week I had to put 5 drops 3 times a day in my 13 month left ear. After the visit for the checkup again, it's still there so she was given something stronger this time. I was told that if it didn't get better, then she'll have to be seen by an ear doctor. So far it's been almost a week now....I had to give her 4 drops 2 times a day. Let's hope that her ear will be better by monday! I don't see any white goo so I'm pretty sure she's all better since I don't see her poking in her ear anymore.

Happy mother's day!!

I wished all the mothers out there a Happy Early Mother's Day!

As a saying goes, you won't know what a mother goes through until you become one (same goes with fathers too but it's mother's day). All those 9/10 months that a mother went through until the day one's born...are only the beginning.

As a mother, I now know what my mom went through. 9-10 months wasn't the easiest and fastest time of the year. The first few months were full of morning sickness, tiredness, hungriness due to the fact that you can't keep anything down. Just when you could eat, you start having several symptom already! Back pain....can't sleep....achy leg/feet....itchy skin....and till near the end of the month, it's like a chubby pig wobbling around. You're all swollen up and can't even sleep due to the fact that there's no good position to sleep on to cut those back pain or the big stomach. Don't forget those hormone or the fact that one have to go pee every few minutes!!!!!! That's not even the painfullest of all the pain.
Soon there's contractions and that's when the most horrible intolerable pain that you've never felt or knows before. Just imagine have a really really bad constipation pushing out something big. Yes, that's how it felt like. I won't go into detail but that's basically what a mother goes through just to bring a life into this world. And don't forgot those that have c-sections or the fact that it's not a 10 minute thing....depending it could be 2-24 hr..or so many days! Just know that there's a lot of pain involve regardless or whatever one goes through.

Just when you thought that all your worried have ended; it's just only the beginning. It's not about taking care of yourself anymore but another little one too. All your decisions will not only affect yourself but your little bundle. From the safety of the house to people around you. A mother turns on their protective mode just like power ranger fighting all the evils out there. They gives you the best and kept the least to their selves. A mother, will never stop worrying as long as she's alive.

A mother's love is pure and precious. Good day or bad day, a mother will always be there. Far or close, you're still their little baby.

I love my mom and although I cannot spend mother's day with her (hopefully next year when they move closer to my state this summer), just knowing the fact that she's healthy makes me happy. This year I didn't know what to give her so my two sister and I send some money down for my uncle + his wife to take my mom and dad out to eat. She provide so much for us and have endure lots of hardship. She went though so much taking care of 9 kids. I have 5 kids and it's a headache for me already! I love my mom and you all should too!

Happy early mother's day!!!!! Even if all you mother's or your mother don't have a day off, do something nice for them on that day. A card or just a phone call would make her day precious.

Elf Hauls- May 2012

I order a few stuff on elf's site since they have that $15 free shipping special at the time. It took about a week to get to me which I just received it last Friday. I didn't have the chance to take any pictures of the swatches but will update as soon as I take em.

So on with what I got:

*2 shimmer sheets: Pearl and Pink
*Lip stain: Berry Blush
*Lip exfoliater
*2 blush: Shy and Blushing

It's not much but just some items that I wanted to try out. I've been wanting to try out the shimmer sheets ever since it came out and finally decided to get it. They're a cheaper version of the mai coulture blush sheets (I hope I spell it right, sorry if I'm wrong). There are a lot of fallouts so keeping it in the wrapper is a must if you don't want any shimmer on your purse or makeup bags. As for the lipstain, I wanted to get another color but all of the other colors were out of stock so I was left with no choice but the berry blush. It's a pretty okay color; I don't mind wearing it at times.

For the lip exfoliater, I just wanted to try it out for the heck of it.What you do is apply it on your lips (which I had to do it a few times just to get "some" beads on my lip), and exfoliate it. Gently wipe the beads off and leave the rest on.

As for the blush, I thought that they were going to be pigmented with a nice pink color. I'm a fan of their other blushes but was disappointed with these two. They were very cakey along with a lot of fall outs. The colors pop up pretty good on my hand but not on my cheeks. Maybe it's because my skin tone is a lot lighter than my hand? That could be a reason why but I noticed with a brush, it doesn't pop up as much.

I haven't test out these all the way yet but I'm already in love with the shimmer sheets and lip stain!

Have you tried Elf's shimmer sheets and lip stain? What about the other product that were mention above or shown in the video? Are you a Elf's fan?

Garnier Frutise Dry, Damage Shampoo

I was chosen to be in the Garnier Fructise Dry, Damage shampoo + conditioner bzzagent campaign. Although I didn't take any pictures, I did however record myself opening it up. I was too excited to even take a picture. I haven't upload it yet but will soon since I've been sick for almost 2 week now I couldn't find the time to do it.

I received 2 full size bottle: 1 dry, damage shampoo, and 1 dry, damage conditioner. It was put in a ziploc bag just in case there might be damage (no leakage/ damage when I received it)

Here's my review:

My first used: I didn't really noticed much of a difference but when using the shampoo, I do feel like it does thoroughly clean my hair. I wasn't too impress with it aside from the good smell.

2nd used:  With my 2nd used, I noticed that my hair feels a bit softer and smoother. It still feel a bit dry and coarse but I'm a bit impress since my hair never been this soft before. The only thing is that my hair is flat and does not have much volume; that's the only downside to it.

3rd used: Same as the 2nd used but I noticed that I have less flakes. I have a problem with flakes ever since I switch to a wrong shampoo during my teen years. Whatever I used, it would not go away! Even the shampoo that I currently used, my flakes are still there. I've been using the Garnier Frutise Dry, Damage shampoo + conditioner for this week 3 times already and noticed that I have less flakes. It can't be anything else since those were the only hair product that I used this week. That's definitely a plus for me.

I'm so glad that I had the chance to tried this out. Maybe I'll have to used my regular shampoo every now and then along with the Garnier Frutise inorder for my hair to have more volume, sleek, shiny, soft, smooth hair.

I was very impress at how they improved their bottle. A few years back, it was very hard to open up the cap so that was the downside of it which I didn't bothered to buy another one when I ran out of their shampoo. Another big plus is that their packaging is more eco friendly versus other drugstore brand of shampoo. As for the fragrance, I like it. It does last a while on my hair and I get a lot of compliments from my kids.

I will be purchasing these when I run out of it due to the fact that it actually give me less flakes.

Click here for the youtube video that I made

Urban Decay 24/7 shadow pencil stash

I had this for a few month now and finally decided to do some swatches. I find that I don't use it as much as I thought I would be using it. They were only $12 during the hautelook sale in Feb?

So here's how they look like:

As you can see, I've been using clash (the turquoise) on my daughter. As for myself, I use the purple one. It's currently my fave whenever I use the 24/7 shadow pencil. They do last for a couple of hours but I have not tried wearing them for 24 hrs. The most is probably 6-7hours.

The colors are very pigmented and they do smudge a bit on me over time since I tend to get oily eyelids depending on where I'm at and what I'm doing.

Do I recommend them? Yes definitely! I think they are worth my every $$. This is the second time I purchase Urban Decay cosmetic and they exceeded my expectation from someone who buys drugstore cosmetic.

So on to the swatches:

This is one application only and they are bight + pigmented already.
